Das Fürstentum von Monaco wird Austragungsort des brandneuen TriStar111 Monaco. Nach fünf Jahren Ironman 70.3 entscheiden Fürst Albert II, die Regierung, die monegassische Triahtlonförderation and die Organisatoren auf die erfolgreiche TriStar Marke zu wechseln. Das komplette Organisationsteam von Ironman 70.3 in Monavo folgt CEO Georg Hochegger in sein neues Unternehmen and garantiert somit das Fortbestehen und die stetige Verbesserung des Rennens.

TriStar111 Monaco wird den Monaco Ironman 70.3 Triathlonwettbewerb im Fürstentum Monaco ersetzen. Die Formel 1 des Triathlon bleibt in Monaco, während sich die Distanz ändert, um das Rennen zugänglicher zu machen. Die totale Distanz von 111km wird aufgeteilt in 1km Schwimmen, 100km Radfahren und 10km Laufen. Die erste Ausgabe des TriStar Events in Monaco wird am 5. September 2010 stattfinden und ist auf 1000 Athleten limitiert.

Das 1km Schwimmen findet in der Larvotto Bucht statt, direkt am Larvotto Strand im Südosten des Fürstentums. Die 100km Radrunde führt die Athleten aus Monaco in Richtung Roquebrune über die steilen Berge des Hinterlands. Die atemberaubenden Aussichten und malerischen Dörfer entlang der Radstrecke waren schon immer das Kernstück dieses Triathlons, und TriStar111 Monaco wird die Athleten genau zu diesen überwältigenden Plätzen führen. Der 10km Lauf wird in zweieinhalb Runden auf der weltbekannten Formel 1-Strecke durch den Tunnel, den Hafen, den Garten des Casinos und die Haarnadelkurven der Stadt zu absolvieren sein.

“Die langsamsten Kurven der Formel 1 sind die schnellsten des TriStar111 Monaco! Die engen Biegungen werden bergab und in hoher Geschwindigkeit gerannt. Die Athleten werden dabei von der anspruchsvollen Rennstrecke als auch von der Kulisse und den Zuschauern gleichermaßen motiviert. Es gibt keine andere Möglichkeit als beim TriStar111 Monaco auf der vollgesperrten Formel 1-Strecke zu laufen.“ sagt Olivier Castelli, Global Event Operations Director von Star Production.

Monte Carlo und das Fürstentum von Monaco sind im Genuss qualitativ und medial hochwertige Sportevents organisieren zu dürfen, wie den Formel 1 Grand Prix, die Monte Carlo Rally, die Monte Carlo Open, die Tennis Masters Monte Carlo, Monte Carlo’s International Show-Jumping, das International Swimmers Meeting, und “Herculis”, das zweit wichtigste internationale Meeting im Jahr. Triathlon ist bereits Teil der internationalen Sportevents im Fürstentum an der französischen Riviera und TriStar111 Monaco wird weiterhin den Triathlonsport an diesem unnachahmlichen Ort promoten.

TriStar111 Monaco wird organisiert von Star Production SARL, das in Monaco situierte Unternehmen und Besitzer der TriStar Marke. Star Production SARL wurde von Georg Hochegger gegründet. Nachdem er 12 Jahre erfolgreich Ironman Rennen in vier Ländern organisiert hat entschied er, dass es Zeit ist die Athleten wieder in den Mittelpunkt von Massenevents zu stellen. accessible race: A total distance of 111km has to be accomplished with 1km swimming, 100km cycling and 10km running. The inaugural TriStar event in Monaco will take place on 5 September 2010 with a maximum of 1000 participants.

The 1km swim takes place in the Larvotto Bay, just off the Larvotto Beach in the Southeast of the Principality. The 100km bike leg will take athletes out of Monaco heading to Roquebrune and up the steep Mountains of the hinterland. Breathtaking views and picturesque villages of the bike ride have always been the centerpiece of the triathlon in Monaco, and TriStar111 Monaco will take athletes to the most stunning places. The 10km run will be accomplished in two and a half loops on the world famous Formula 1 circuit featuring the Tunnel, the Port, the Gardens of the Casino and the hairpin bends.

“The slowest turns in Formula 1 are the fastest bends in TriStar111 Monaco. The hairpin curves of Spelugues will be run downhill and fullspeed. While the run portion is demanding, athletes will be blown away by the setting and the spectators. There are not many more opportunities than the TriStar111 Monaco to run along the Formula 1 circuit in a Monaco closed for traffic!” says Olivier Castelli, Global Event Operations Director of Star Production.

Monte Carlo and the Principality of Monaco have reached excellence in organising high quality and highly mediated sports events like the Formula One Grand Prix, the Monte Carlo Rally, the Monte Carlo Open, the Tennis Masters Monte Carlo, Monte Carlo’s International Show-Jumping, the International Swimmers Meeting, and “Herculis”, the second most important international meeting of the year. TriStar111 Monaco is organised by Star Production SARL, the Monaco-based company owning the TriStar label.
