Split can be reached by the Adriatic Coastal Road, winding by the sea or by hinterland roads connected to Split. It will take you 4 hours to get to Zagreb by the highway. You can also reach Split on a coast ferry liner from Rijeka or Dubrovnik and all central Dalmatian islands. There are excellent fast and regular ferry lines from Italy (Ancona and Pescara). From the Airport Split flights connect the city with Zagreb several times a day, as well as with European capitals. There are also trains from Split to the north of the country and further on to Europe. You can transport your car by train, as well.

Croatia is connected with most of the European cities. By car or by Bus

Fastest way to reach Split is to catch the motorway. Motorway is very good conected with all major cities, but it is still not finished. So route Split - Dubrovnik is regular fast road. In the Republic of Croatia, tolls are paid in proportion to the length of the used section and according to the corresponding vehicle group. At toll stations of Hrvatske autoceste d.o.o. (HAC), toll can be paid in cash, by credit cards - AMERICAN EXPRESS, DINERS, MASTER CARD, MAESTRO, VISA, by cheques and by means of subscription. Toll can also be paid in foreign currencies according to the exchange rate of PBZ on the day of toll payment.
