You can make the difference!

As part of our Livestrong campaign the TriStar111 Monaco supports a local cancer charity.

During race week you will see our Livestrong volunteers around the event locations, informing on the charity and the overall campaign and collecting money – for the local institution.

And YOU can support us to make a difference!

Everything perfect, right?

Shining sun, blue sky, refreshing in "Holy See", a great atmosphere among spectators and athletes and a fantastic race -  the Tristar111 Estonia has offered everything an athlete’s heart can desire.

A heart and a statement

And the people who were there have shown their heart! They have demonstrated that it is not just about swimming, cycling and running: in cooperation with Livestrong™ the TriStar111 Estonia has launched a fundraising campaign for Tallinn’s Children Hospital and its cancer unit.  Dedicated volunteers have informed the visitors to set the spotlight on this crucial topic and collected donations. At the end of the weekend everywhere around Püharjäve supporters could be seen: wearing a yellow Livestrong™ bracelet, as a sign of solidarity and of active support!

MANY THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT to all donors!

Through the activities during race weekend in Püharjäve we were able to collect almost 15,000 Kroons for the little cancer patient. Money, which enables the children much needed help in your fight against cancer.

Benefiting Tallinn’s Children Hospital

In Estonia the public health care institutions cannot cover all potential costs for the full medical treatment of cancer patients. In fact some additional medication treatments require extra budgets. The Tallinn’s Children Hospital is committed beyond measure for his patients, and in order to give them the full treatment extra funds are needed- up to 10.000-20.000 Kroons (around 650 – 1.300 Euros) per child. The money collected thus could already cover an extra medication for one child.

And what about the other 19?

We should follow this path further on- no, we must. Every child and every cancer patient should get the best possible treatment! Each year an average of 20 children are diagnosed with malignant tumors in Estonia. And these children desperately need our help. Donate too and help the children at Tallinn’s Children Hospital to win the fight against cancer! Every single donation helps!

In the process of registration for TriStar111 Estonia 2011 each athlete gets the opportunity to donate a certain amount in order to serve this purpose. We also offer a permanent online donation tool, in which each and every one of us is called to act as a fundraiser by encouraging his friends and family to join the initiative. The most successful fundraiser will be rewarded with a free entry for 2011 and might also become the TriStar Livestrong ambassador for 2011 in Monaco’s event.

In cooperation with Livestrong™ TriStar supports local projects and institutions that are united by the fight against cancer.

The first TriStar111 Germany, held on 6 JUN 2010 was a great success! Many happy faces and positive feedback have shown that we celebrated a great event together!  Our fight against cancer was also successful! In cooperation with LIVESTRONG™ TriStar initiated a charity action for the Oncology Centre for the Worms Hospital (Klinikum Worms) and many of you participated during race weekend.

TriStar111 Germany is here not only to entertain people. We would also like to contribute our share to support local facilities. We are happy to have found a partner with Klinikum Worms,” says Lothar Leder, organizer of TriStar111 Germany.

Many spectators and athletes supported this action with a donation and wore the yellow Livestrong bracelet as a sign of solidarity. Trainees from Klinikum Worms, who willingly made the collection, were able to collect 450 Euros during the race weekend. „We were surprised that a sporting event would get in touch with us. We are impressed by the event and  are looking forward to a hopefully long-lasting partnership with TriStar111 Germany,“ confirms Friedrich Haas, General Manager of Klinikum Worms.  The Oncology Center is part of the Worms Clinic and subsumes the different units of the clinic to bundle the competences in the field of cancer treatment. For more information visit www.klinikum-worms.de.

And this was just the beginning!

What can YOU do?

During online registration for the TriStar111 Germany 2011 every athlete has the option to make a voluntary donation to the Oncology Centre. The first athletes that have already signed up have contributed 90 Euros, that is 6 Euros on average per athlete. Thank you! “Supporting a local cancer charity is a great move of TriStar. I am proud to raise awareness for this issue and will continue to support this unique format with unique distances and unique ideas!” says Chris McCormack winner of the first edition of TriStar111 Germany.

You can also donate online in the Livestrong section of our website. With your donation you will help in the fight against cancer, you can win a free entry for the TriStar111 Germany, and the opportunity to  become the TriStar LIVESTRONG™ 2011 ambassador at TriStar111 Monaco!

We want to warmly thank - also on behalf of the Klinikum Worms - all past and future supporters for their commitment! Help us continue the fight against cancer!

Recognising responsibility for our social environment is a paramount element of the TriStar philosophy when organising events. Therefore, TriStar supports in cooperation with LIVESTRONG™ different projects that are united in their fight against cancer.  TriStar111 Germany now supports in cooperation with LIVESTRONG™ the Oncology Center of Klinikum Worms. With different activities we aim to raise awareness amongst all athletes, volunteers and spectators in our event and collect money to concretely support this facility in its important efforts. We show we care and are aware of our responsibility in our local community.

The Oncology Centre is part of the Worms Clinic and subsumes the different units of the clinic to bundle the competences in the field of cancer treatment. Cancer diseases require transcending the lines of single units and competences of single doctors in order to realise interdisciplinary strategies and approaches of therapy and treatment.  The oncology centre aims to improve the care for patients with cancer by integrating and optimising the different sections like prevention, early recognition, diagnosis and therapy as well as after-treatment and psycho-oncology.

This integrated view raises the chances for a successful therapy and therefore patients are integrated into the health process by giving them detailed information, personal attention, friendly courtesy and respect.  By using this system, the centre can to do its bit to level up the quality of medical care for cancer patients in this region.

The indicated activities require an enormous amount of material and personal input and are to this extent available in only a few other hospitals in Germany. The Oncologic Centre, Worms is 1 of only 10 certified centres of its nature in Germany out of more than 2000 hospitals.

Join us and support the Oncology Centre with your personal contribution, you can donate your contribution on-site in the Star&Co Village of the First TriiStar111 Germany!
