Because is accessible to many participants.
Because the recovery period after the race is shorter. You can pick up your training very quickly after the race.
Distances are easy to understand.
Participation and pleasure for sport are above competition.
What are TriStar111 and TriStar 11.1 distances?
TriStar111 combines 1km SWIM, 100km BIKE and 10km RUN for a total distance of 111km.
TriStar11.1 is the half distance: 0.1km SWIM, 10km BIKE and 1km RUN for a total distance of 11.1km.
What is water temperature in June in Austria?
The water temperature is around 17-18 (to be completed) degrees Celsius in Jun. Wetsuits are mandatory.
I want to start training for a triathlon. Can I participate in a TriStar race?
Short swim and run distances make TriStar races very accessible to a variety of people. In addition you can choose between the two formats.
What about the bike course?
The bike Bike profile is quite hard, but so attractive! You’ll need to be attentive in the climb and downhill of San Salvador mountains, always keep to the right side of the road and respect the regular traffic law.
Which bike do you recommend: a road bike or a time-trail bike?
The bike course can be done with both. Even if there is a climb on the pass, you can use your time-trail bike.
Describe the run course?
It’s a round trip race nearby the harbour, along the open water, with nice landscapes and public cheering on on athletes. In the middle of the course it gets rolling with an extra effort to make.
Can everyone participate in the TriStar race?
Yes everyone, fulfilling these conditions - the minimum age and possessing a triathlon license (if you do not have a yearly triathlon license you can purchase a daily license on spot).
Can I start in a relay team?
Yes, you can start as a team with 2 or 3 athletes. It’s a lot of Fun. Your timing chip will be passed between each member of your team and you will cross the Finish line together for a great Finishing Picture!
Will be the course closed to traffic?
Roads will be closed to traffic. Some official vehicles can be on the course (medical, etc.…). You still need to follow regular traffic law and stick to it at all times.
