SWIM 500m in the Hechtsee
The Hechtsee is a crystal clear green jewel, embedded in luscious woods and surrounded by the great Alps panorama. The swim mass-start kicks-off at the lake beach side.
The spectators will have the possibility to witness, from the shore, a spectacular start and the first 200 meters at close range. After strait 200 meters keep right, pass two buoys and face the swim exit straight ahead. After only 100 meters they will reach the change-over zone 1.
BIKE 50km
You will leave the transition zone 1 and continue on the bike track. With the Hechtsee in your back you will first decent in direction to Kufstein. After a short breather the climb to the turning point begins. Now it’s getting fast! Down to Kufstein where the first round will start.
You are heading towards Langkampfen to Angath, up the hill to Angerberg and Mariastein, before the track leads you to Langkampfen and back to Kufstein. Passing by the upper Stadtplatz, taking a glance at the finish line, receiving the ovations of the spectators which will give you new energy. While reaching the 2nd transition zone indoor you will be cheered on by the crowd of people on the tribunes which will definitely be another highlight during the race.
RUN 5km Kufstein
After friends and family sitting in the stands experienced the exciting change-over in the Kufstein arena, the running begins on the esplanade of the Inn.
The raceway runs both sides of the Inn throughout the whole city of Kufstein. The city of Kufstein herewith presents itself at its best with two bridge crossings, the spectators will enjoy a fantastic panoramic view with the luscious and green river Inn and the historical fortress on the Festungsberg. They will have the unique chance to closely experience the athletes on the whole raceway with almost the full track in their view.
After the round, on their way to down-town (the historical city-center), the athletes pass cafes, restaurants and will reach the finishing line at Unterer Stadtplatz.
FINISH LINE - Downtown Kufstein
The finishing line at Unterer Stadtplatz is located directly in the middle of the historical city center. Supported by the celebration of the people you will cross the finishing line and receive your medal. Nobody misses the view on the finishing line as another great highlight, the athlete garden, is located directly above the finish and offers you the perfect view on the incoming athletes.

"I rode the bike course with organizer Stephan Richter. The Kustein TriStar Triathlon starts with a swim in the Hechtsee, its on top of a 1km climb and the lake looks like a swim Stadium with green water to me. You never leave the alp panorama. After downhill from Hechtsee you climb up to Thiersee. The first part of the bike is hilly but after you hit 30km mark it gets flat and fast. The run takes place at the Inn River and in the old town of Kufstein, always on the buttom of Kufstein Fortress. It is a special run at this world famous scenery and your family members can always be in touch with you during the run".
