What are the distances of TriStar111 Minnesota?
TriStar is coming from Euope- that means 111 stands for the distance in km: swim 1km cycle 100km and run 10km. In miles this is around 0.62M swimming, 62M on the bike and 6.2M running.
I’m a beginner, can I sign up for the TriStar111 Minnesota?

Yes, you've got the chance to win a 10.000 USD prize purse. But only if you're a PRO and racing in that category.
What other races will be offered?
Maple Grove will see a dayfull of triathlon on August 27. Next to the TriStar111 Minnesota race you can also enter the Maple Grove Triathlon, which includes individual Spring and Olympic courses (relays will not be offered in 2011).
Specific distances include:
Dare to Sprint: Swim .3 miles/ .48 km - Cycle 14 miles/22.5 km - Run 3 miles/4.8 km
The Olympic Dare: Swim .9 miles/1.45 km - Cycle 26 miles/42 km - Run 6.2 miles/ 10 km
Shall I arrive on Friday already?
Yes, in term of registration, you must arrive in Maple Grove Friday as athletes' registration closes at 8 p.m. and bike and bags check-in is taking place between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Also the Energy Party takes place on Friday evening (7.30 p.m.) and get your carbo loading. Enjoy the TriStar atmosphere and get focused on your race, get your race documents, check-in your bike and familiarize yourself with the transition area without stress.
What do I need to bring to packet pick-up?
All registered athletes are required to present a current photo ID (driver’s license, or passport). USA Triathlon (USAT) annual members must also show their current USAT member card. If you don't have a USAT member card you need to purchase a daily license on site during registration and packet pick-up.
Can a friend or family member pick-up my race packet?
All registered athletes are required to pick-up their own packet – no exceptions.

Is there something going on for my friends and family too?
Sure! On race day, your fans can cheer you everywhere on the swim, the bike and the run course and of course the Finish line. The Star&Co Village, Weaver Lake Park, the post.race relaxing, the Star Night... or they do the Maple Grove Triathlon Sprint? The fun is everywhere all along the week-end for you and for your supporters.
For security and athletes comfort reason, the access to bike park, transitions area, Finishline and Relaxing Zone is only dedicated to Athletes (with your athlete’s bracelet). Your friend and family will have no access to those areas.
Is it possible to start as a relay?
Yes, you can start as a team with 3 athletes. It’s a lot of Fun. The Relay is your timing chip and you will cross the Finshline together to the Finish Picture! Start at 08:15.
Where can lost and found items be dropped off or picked up?
