Monika, how did you learn about the TriStar competitions?

I've already heard last year the first positive reports of TriStar and also I have been told from other athletes about the new series. It made me curious and I'm looking forward to my first participation on June 3rd 2012 at Attersee.

What do you think of TriStar?
I think it's a good competition to existing large Triathlon brands. I think TriStar is bringing new flair in the world of triathlon. A fresh wind is certainly good for our sport. The distances are very interesting, especially for late bloomers and also because of the very attractive cycling distance.

On June 3rd with the TriStar111 and TriStar55.5 formats in the idyllic region of Atter Lake in Upper Austria, Salzkammergut will be the host of another Triathlon Event focused on fun, social responsibility and environmental protection. “Back to nature” would be the best motto to describe a destination like Salzkammergut, offering local and international athletes a scenic set for an exciting and fun race.

The race starts with swimming in the crystal-clear waters of Atter Lake, followed by the bike leg, accomplished in 2 laps each of 50km. Drafting will be not allowed.
