@jlhourcade awesome work on your blog José Luis! Ojalá te veamos pronto en otra prueba TriStar (he was our official #tristarmallorca photog)
TriStar111 Monaco will take place on 2 September 2012 in Monaco. The Principality is hosting this innovating format of triathlon entailing a 1km swim, 100km bike leg and 10km run. A brand new treat for Triathletes and sport lovers in a very special destination!
START SWIM 1km
The swim start will take place at 8:00 on the Larvotto Beach in Monaco for a 1km loop. It is a mass start from the beach (PROs ahead). The water temperature is usually between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius on race day. Wetsuits are allowed if the temperature is below 24°C. The final decision will be made on race day morning by the marshals.
Transition 1 | SWIM/BIKE
After the swim, you will pick up your bike bag and change in the transition tent – both directly on the beach at the swim exit. Then run up to Avenue Princesse Grace, where you will pick up your bike and leave the bike park heading East.
BIKE 100km
The bike course begins at the Larvotto area - you ride 2 km in the Principality of Monaco in the direction of Roquebrune Cap-Martin, then to the hinterland. During the 100km, you will discover gorgeous and picturesque villages.
Transition 2 | BIKE/RUN
Once you rack your bike you will pick up your RUN bag in the transition area. DROP OFF your bag after having changed and leave the transition area via the ramp to start the last challenge: the run.
RUN 10km
The run will take you on 2 loops of 5km through Monaco, including the famous Tunnel known from Formula 1, the harbor, the gardens of the Casino and the hairpin bends… The entire run course is open to supporters! You'll love it!
FINISHLINE
After 2 loops, you will reach the Finishline located right under the terraces of the famous Café de Paris. Friends, family and sport loving spectators will welcome you and cheer you on while you cross the Finishline! Time to enjoy and proudly wear your Finisher medal!

Grab your Finisher T-shirt, have drinks and food, get a massage, chill-out with your fellow competitors in the after-finish area. You finished the inaugural TriStar111 Monaco! Congratulations as you have proven: Yes, you can!
