In the past some of you have already made an important contribution to support one of the TriStar charities in collaboration with Livestrong™. We want to thank you again for all this support!

And our commitment continues. The fight against cancer remains a paramount matter that needs our all support. Therefore we would like to invite you today to double your commitment and also win an exclusive TriStar shirt.*

You can either click on "Donate Now" to directly and securely donate to one of the charities. Even more interesting is to "create your own fundraising page” and to become a multiplier.

Thomas Kleebach has done so, and is now collecting for the Oncology Center of  Klinikum Worms. Follow his example and promote a good cause! Every donation helps these institutions to continue and expand their important work!

TriStar and Social Responsibility in 2010

TriStar is the growing sport series focus on fun, environmental protection and social responsibility.

In 2010, TriStar showed this commitment by supporting local projects in collaboration with LIVESTRONG™.

In the 4 TriStar events in 2010, We have supported 4 charities:

-  The Oncology Center Worms (TriStar111 Worms- Germany)

-  The Tallin Children's Hospital (TriStar111 Estonia)

-  The "Gemluc" Association (TriStar111 Monaco)

-  The "Paolo Secchi" Association (TriStar222 Sardinia)

All these associations are united in their work to help people overcoming cancer diseases.

By collecting money on race day, presenting and promoting the charities and lining up relay teams with supporters like Jenson Button, Nico Rosberg or Alexander Wurz, selling LIVESTRONG™ wristbands and by the online donations, TriStar does his bit to spread the word and collected around 8.000 € in 2010. On behalf of LIVESTRONG™ and the supported charities we want to thank you all for your contribution and efforts.

And in 2011, we want to make the next step- with your help. Extending our cooperation with the existing local partners and promoting new associations with our new events in Nevis, Mallorca and Lyon we will continue the chosen path and enhance the efforts of the TriStar family.

You can already take this step now and give an important support by donating now and activating your community, your friends and your family. Every contribution helps- may it be financially or by promoting the awareness of this important issue.

Bonjour,

Participer au TriStar111 Monaco a été une expérience exceptionnelle. Des personnes sympas et des athlètes passionnés, un cadre magnifique, une ambiance conviviale et une course difficile. Ce fut une occasion idéale de mettre sous les projecteurs une question importante pour nous tous : la lutte contre le cancer !

Juste pour vous donner quelques faits choquants :

• Plus de 12 millions de personnes sont diagnostiquées d'un cancer chaque année.
• Selon des études, plus de 20.000 personnes meurent chaque jour des effets du cancer dans le monde entier.
• le cancer sera bientôt la cause de décès n°1 dans le monde entier.

Le cancer nous concerne tous et doit être une priorité mondiale. Nous pouvons faire tellement plus, nous devons en faire plus.

As part of our Livestrong campaign the TriStar111 Monaco supports a local cancer charity.

During race week you will see our Livestrong volunteers around the event locations, informing on the charity and the overall campaign and collecting money – for the local institution.

Shining sun, blue sky, refreshing in "Holy See", a great atmosphere among spectators and athletes and a fantastic race -  the Tristar111 Estonia has offered everything an athlete’s heart can desire.

A heart and a statement

And the people who were there have shown their heart! They have demonstrated that it is not just about swimming, cycling and running: in cooperation with Livestrong™ the TriStar111 Estonia has launched a fundraising campaign for Tallinn’s Children Hospital and its cancer unit.  Dedicated volunteers have informed the visitors to set the spotlight on this crucial topic and collected donations. At the end of the weekend everywhere around Püharjäve supporters could be seen: wearing a yellow Livestrong™ bracelet, as a sign of solidarity and of active support!

Through the activities during race weekend in Püharjäve we were able to collect almost 15,000 Kroons for the little cancer patient. Money, which enables the children much needed help in your fight against cancer.

Benefiting Tallinn’s Children Hospital

In Estonia the public health care institutions cannot cover all potential costs for the full medical treatment of cancer patients. In fact some additional medication treatments require extra budgets. The Tallinn’s Children Hospital is committed beyond measure for his patients, and in order to give them the full treatment extra funds are needed- up to 10.000-20.000 Kroons (around 650 – 1.300 Euros) per child. The money collected thus could already cover an extra medication for one child.

And what about the other 19?

We should follow this path further on- no, we must. Every child and every cancer patient should get the best possible treatment! Each year an average of 20 children are diagnosed with malignant tumors in Estonia. And these children desperately need our help. Donate too and help the children at Tallinn’s Children Hospital to win the fight against cancer! Every single donation helps!

In the process of registration for TriStar111 Estonia 2011 each athlete gets the opportunity to donate a certain amount in order to serve this purpose. We also offer a permanent online donation tool, in which each and every one of us is called to act as a fundraiser by encouraging his friends and family to join the initiative. The most successful fundraiser will be rewarded with a free entry for 2011 and might also become the TriStar Livestrong ambassador for 2011 in Monaco’s event.

In cooperation with Livestrong™ TriStar supports local projects and institutions that are united by the fight against cancer.
