The registration of the largest triathlon festival in Scandinavia and Baltic region - TriStar Estonia - is opened until 1st of August. Don't miss it! The event itself takes place from August 5th to August 7th at Pühajärve, Otepää. Don't miss it, you can still register until 1st August! Already more than 630 participants have registered.
"The number of participants exceeds already the record from last year, but we expect even more people to sign up in the coming days. Especially because this year we have a new race for beginners - the 33.3km race - that should attract people who wouldn't yet sign up for the long race", said TriStar Estonia organizer Ain-Alar Juhanson. He added: "We have seen especially strong interest to participate from athletes from Eastern-Europe and Russia."
Besides racing there are other interesting events planned as well. For example this year's Tristar Estonia begins with a 5km Charity StarRun on Friday. Half of the running event's entry fees is donated to Tallinna Childrens' Hospital and Pühajärve Park's renovation fund. The three day triathlon event full of different distance races ends on Sunday evening with a concert by an Estonian pop-band "Tanel Padar & The Sun" after which an afterparty in nightclub Comeback follows.
