The Tristar Kufstein Team is proud to present Tyrolean’s Life Radio Station during the whole weekend of the event! The famous tyrolean radio station has agreed to visit the competition at its “Summertour 2012” and will broadcast the kid’s aquatlon on Saturday as well as the Tristar Kufstein on Sunday. The race will be promoted live on air and there will be countless events, including the DJs with the hottest music , spectacular entertainment, live interviews, live broadcast and prizes. The Life Radio Station will provide the perfect atmosphere in order to make the Tristar Kufstein weekend an unforgettable event for every competitor and visitor.

Ute Streiter, born on the 29th July 1973 in Tyrol, has been a participant in many prestigious Triathlon events since starting at the age of 31. She has achieved several titles, such as being 7^th at the European Championship in Frankfurt, 5^th at the Ironman Malaysia and being amongst the finishers at the Ironman Hawaii. But it is not only the success that makes her fascinating; it is also her aura of pure joy of life and sports. Ute’s sporting enthusiasm is also reflected in other completely different areas like alpine skiing, climbing and scuba diving. A true power woman married and mother of a nine year old son; a Triathlon Pro and coach.

Ute will participate at the 2012 TriStar111 in Kufstein. She tells us what this means to her personally and how she is preparing herself in this interview:

Star events are based on having fun, which sums up the idea of sport events that are easily accessible for everyone who wants. The events are designed in a simple and understandable format 111 (1km swimming, 100km cycling and 10km running) and are offered with many events worldwide. The events represent a fun and enjoyable way of doing triathlon and it’s a great opportunity to spend some exciting days.

TriStar Coaching 111 by Achim Mörtl

Description
You want to participate in some of our high quality events, and you want to be well prepared for that, having fun and an exciting time with a group of athletes and achieving your personal goals? With TriStar Coaching 111 by Achim Mörtl you will get a professional personal coachingwith a trainer being your companion from the beginning, helping you to define your personal goals and to bring you to the final event in Monaco. The coaching will run over at least 6 months, to ensure an optimal preparation for the event/s. It includes the goaldefinition, a startup capability test (threshold test / lactat step test) and the entry to 2 TriStar triathlon events including the race preparation and the coach taking care of you during the event.

The coach
Achim Mörtl was 15 years in professional motorsport, winning several domestic titles in Austria, and attending the Subaru World rally team in the Rally World Championship. He also was doing with his KTM bike some dessert rallies like Paris - Dakar or Tunisia and Morocco. Today he is working fully dedicated in the field of coaching and sport science, looking after different athletes in endurance sports like triathlon or mountain and trail running. He also works as a teacher on the Austrian Sports academy in the field of endurance training and strength training for endurance athletes.

Interview with Jens Kaiser, DBL-Team RSG Montabaur / CANYON. Jens Kaiser, born on 6.2.1979 challenges his first Triathlon, being forced to retire from football after an injury. By now he is a family man, personal trainer and achieves top ten results on a regular basis as a Triathlon professional.

Not only being 6th at the Tristar111 Germany in Worms Jens also took a 3rd place at the long distance elite German Championship in 2011 and the 3rd place at middle distance State Championship (1. AK). Why Jens will race the TriStar111 Kufstein 2012, how he is preparing and how he manages the balancing act between private life, professional career and sporting success he gave away in this exclusive interview.

Does the weather in Rhineland-Palatinate offer already opportunity for first training units?
Of course! But I also took the opportunity to already train in Fuerteventura’s warm sun and with the early registration and planning of the first tournaments I find it easy to self-motivate.
