Tony Pritzker, triathlon fan, multipe Ironman finisher, cycling sport fanatic and past waterpolo player is a member of the Star Events advisory board.
Tony is a Managing Partner and co-founder of The Pritzker Group. Tony has over twenty years leading middle-market manufacturing and distribution companies. From 2004 to 2007 he served as Chairman of AmSafe Partners, the leader in aircraft seating restraints. From 2000 to 2004 he served as President of Baker Tanks, the nation's leading tank and pump equipment rental business. In 1998, he was appointed by the Marmon Group to oversee Stainless Industrial Companies, a portfolio of several industrial manufacturing companies. From 1996-1998 Tony served as the Regional Vice President of operations in Asia for Getz Bros. & Co. Prior to 1996, Tony was a Group Executive at the Marmon Group and directed operations at Arzo, MD Tech, Micro-Aire, Oshkosh Door and Fenestra. For his stewardship, Tony has received honors from Friends of Sheba Medical Center in Israel, Young Presidents’ Organization and the Brandeis Bardin Institute. Tony received his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and his B.A. in Engineering from Dartmouth College.
Tony lives in Los Angeles, California, United States with his wife and six children.
Claude Ruibal is Chairman and Co-Founder of the Universal Sports Television Network with distribution in 63 million cable and over the air television homes and 5 million unique users per month to universalsports.com and its network of websites; programming includes world championship and Olympic qualifying events across over 35 sports including: triathlons, track and field, swimming, gymnastics, marathons, cycling, volleyball, rowing, skiing, fencing, figure skating and martial arts combined with additional lifestyle and news programming. Prior to Universal Sports Mr. Ruibal had extensive experience working in new media, television production and distribution, sales, sports marketing and advertising. His past experience includes: Ask Jeeves International; The Coca-Cola Company; ISL Worldwide; Saatchi and Saatchi Advertising, and the Los Angeles Olympic Games.
A native of Riverside, California, Mr. Ruibal holds a BA degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a law degree from Georgetown University. He lives in Santa Monica with his wife and two children.
Dave Alberga
CEO of Active Network. Prior to The Active Network, Alberga spent three years in operations for TicketmasterOnline CitySearch (NASDAQ: TMCS), a leading portal and transaction company. In his three years at TMCS, his initial role as general manager of established markets for CitySearch City Guides was expanded to executive vice president and then, chief operating officer. TMCS career highlights include successfully leading local management teams in 35 markets, while overseeing operating and reporting procedures for each field organization, and participating in raising private and public equity for CitySearch. Alberga has also held a number of senior management positions with diverse, technology-based companies, such as Linear Technology, a leading analog semiconductor manufacturer, and Silicon Valley Technology, Inc. He brings strong management consulting and brand management expertise from his work with the Boston Consulting Group and Procter & Gamble. Alberga holds a Master of Business Administration degree and Master of Arts degree from Stanford University. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in general engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
