Hard working and dedicated firefighter from Paris, Regis Poncet is the 111th registered for TriStar Monaco! As per tradititon, here is the interview!

Why have you chosen to participate in TriStar Monaco?

In one hand, this format suits me very well since swimming is my weakest point, on the other hand, I have some old acquaintances in Monaco.

This is your first TriStar, is it also your first triathlon?
This is my first TriStar, but I do have very little experience in triathlon.

How do you organize your training?
I am a firefighter from Paris, naturally I work on call. I am training very hard when I am not on duty. I usually go running, biking and swimming with my club.

What is your goal?
I wanted to do Ironman in Roth this year, but I was late for registering. So I was planning to run short and long distance in Toyes this June .

Have you been to Monaco before?
Not yet.

Is someone accompanying you? If yes, who? Other participants, families, friends?
I will be on holiday 15 days before the race in Languedoc, afterwards, my wife and I are heading to Monaco and a friend from fire brigade is joining us for the occasion.
Where will you be staying? How long will you be staying in the region?
I will be staying at friends place who is retired firefighter from Paris, I will stay 2 or 3 days.
You are Parisian and firefighter, you know that TriStar Deauville will host many Parisians on June 15 and especially a firefighter challenge?

I was not aware of the fact there will be an organized firefighter challenge.

What is your motto?
I have several, but this one I like the most. "Be strong to be useful.''
