TriStar33.3 Nevis - Is this event for me?

Yes, it is! If you consider bearing one of the following characteristics, this event is for you:
•    You do sports for fun and not with animosity.
•    You want to have fun with your friends.
•    You like participating in teams.
•    Your are a triathlon beginner and probably participated in a marathon, half-marathon or a 10km public fun-run.
•    You are at University and want to do something with your fellow students.
•    You are in a company and wish to participate in a team with your colleagues.

How many participants will start?

200 competitors are expected at the Starting Line for the first TriStar33.3 Nevis.

What are the distances of TriStar33.3 Nevis?

As the name says, the race will cover a total distance of 33.3km to be done as follows: Swim 300m, Cycle 30km, and Run 3km.

How is the swim in the Carribean sea in April in Nevis?

The water quality is good and the temperature varies from 24 to 26 degrees Celsius. Wetsuits are allowed if the temperature is below 24°C. The final decision is made on race day morning by the marshals.

Where can I park my car?

There will be designated parking areas in Charlestown close to the bike park, start/finish area.

I’m a beginner, can I sign up for the TriStar33.3 Nevis?

Yes you can! Absolutely! The short distance of swim and run makes it very accessible. The bike is a little bit more challenging. The bike profile is as tough as the breathtaking countryside that you”ll pass by!

What about the bike course? Is it hard?

The bike circuit of the TriStar Nevis is technical and its profile is quite exigent. Some of the downhill can be sometimes dangerous, consequently, keep always the right side of the road and respect the regular traffic law.

How about the run course?

The run course is open to public, therefore, expect a lot of cheering! The profile of the single loop is 2/3 flat including the beach, 1/6 uphill, 1/6 downhill.

Shall I arrive on Saturday already?

Yes, in term of registration, you must arrive in Nevis on Friday in the morning latest as athletes' registration closes at 13:00 (no exceptions!) and bike and bags check-in is taking place in the afternoon. If you can, do not hesitate to come to Nevis from Thursday so you can enjoy the TriStar atmosphere and get focused on your race, get your race documents, check-in your bike and familiarize yourself with the transition zone without stress.

Is there something going on for my friends and family too?

Sure! On race day, your fans can cheer  you everywhere on the swim, the bike and the run course and of course the Finish line. The Star &Co Village, the beach, the Star Night, shopping,  sightseeing... the fun is everywhere all along the week-end for you and for your fans.

For security and athletes comfort reason, the access to bike park, transitions area, Finish line and Relaxing Zone is only dedicated to Athletes (with your athlete’s bracelet). Your friend and family will have no access to those areas.

Do we start in waves?

No, it is a mass start at 08:45 after the 111 swim is finished, on the Beach (sand).

Is it possible to start as a relay?

Yes, you can start as a team with 3 athletes. It’s a lot of Fun. The Relay is your timing chip and you will cross the Finish line together for the Finish Picture! Start at 08:45.
