The winner of the 113km (half-ironman distance) Valga Triathlon that was held on July 10th was Raimo Raudsepp from Estonian Defence Forces' sports club. Other podium places were taken by Indrek Teppo from 21cc/Hawaii Express team and Priit Tuisk from TriSmile team. Estonian Minister of finance, Jürgen Ligi was the winner in the M50 age group.
Race director and Tristar Estonia organizer Ain Alar Juhanson said that compared to other events this season the race in Valga saw the toughest conditions because of the hot weather. The 27 degree temperature turned especially the 21 km run into a real challenge for all 160 participants. Juhanson wanted to specifically thank all volunteers who serviced the participants and were responsible for participants' safety on the course.
Valga triathlon was perfect TriStar Estonia testing race - it included 1.9km swim, 95km bike and 21.1km run.
