The TriStar philosophy is based on three main elements. We want to offer fun-focused triathlon events that recognize responsibility for the protection of our environment and health, and that demonstrate social commitment. Thus interaction and engagement for its social environment is a paramount element of the TriStar vision of a public event. At TriStar, we show we care and we want to spread the mission to involve all the people participating in our events.
Therefore all TriStar races cooperate with LIVESTRONG™ and a variety of actions is undertaken at TriStar races throughout Europe in order to raise awareness and to generate money for donations to local beneficiaries. (see TriStar activities 2010)
Supporting local projects
The money generated at TriStar races does not ooze away to some unknown, far-away institutions. The goal is to give local cancer facilities support in their efforts by collecting money for them and by providing a platform to reach the public. Through engagement we want to become a long-term partner for these projects and at the same time support the worldwide LIVESTRONG™ movement in its fight against cancer.

How you support LIVESTRONGTM with Star Events!
LIVESTRONG™ was founded in 1997 by cancer survivor and champion cyclist Lance Armstrong. The Lance Armstrong Foundation unites people to fight cancer and to make cancer a global priority. TriStar races around the globe support LIVESTRONG, and a variety of actions will be undertaken at TriStar races throughout Europe in order to raise awareness and to generate money for donations to local beneficiaries.
TriStar Actions to support LIVESTRONG in 2010:
- With the race entry, each athlete supports LIVESTRONG™.
- A local cancer charity is chosen for each event in order to receive the totality of that specific race's donation.
- Athletes will receive a LIVESTRONG™ wristband in their race packs. By wearing them, you can show your support of the cause.
- Athletes will receive a donation certificate in their race packs as acknowledgement of their contribution.
- On race day, LIVESTRONG™ hostesses will mingle with the spectators and ask for donations for the local charity.
- After race day, the collected amount will be directly handed over to a representative of the chosen beneficiary during the formal functions - Star Night.
- All year around, articles of interest will be published on the Star-Events website and the event websites.
- Athletes are encouraged to donate more money for the respective location's beneficiary.
- The top donor (contributing the highest amount) in 2010 will be invited to race TriStar111 Monaco (including free race entry and hotel).
- A report on all actions and amounts will be published at the end of each season.
- Visitors to our website, participants and partners are encouraged to send in proposals for beneficiaries.
